Vocab skills: Synonyms
Hier einige Beispiele:
Substantive:
| the pub is a place of consolation and communication | the pub is a place of comfort and communication |
| the transformation of the old pub | the change of the old pub |
| they miss the intimacy of the old-style pub | they miss the familiarity of the old-style pub |
Adjektive:
| after the upswing affluent customers came to the pub | after the upswing wealthy customers came to the pub |
| tough drunken-driving laws | strict drunken-driving laws |
| remote village pubs | distant village pubs |

| market research prompted some changes in pubs | market research led to some changes in pubs |
| Guinness will launch 1,500 new pubs world-wide | Guinness will open 1,500 new pubs world-wide |
